Astronomer and photo voltaic eclipse professional Jay Pasachoff dies at age 79

Jay Pasachoff, an astronomer who traveled the globe for over 50 years to witness 74 photo voltaic eclipses and was one of many world’s main specialists in these sky sights, has died on the age of 79. 

Pasachoff, the Discipline Memorial Professor of Astronomy and Director of the Hopkins Observatory at Williams School, handed away at his residence in Williamstown, Massachusetts, on Sunday (Nov. 20). His spouse Naomi Pasachoff recognized lung most cancers as the reason for dying.
